SEIA Launches Tax Services And Expands Family Office Platform Across $32.6 Billion Wealth Business

Signature Estate & Investment Advisors has launched SEIA Tax Services and expanded its family office capabilities as the $32.6 billion wealth management firm builds a more integrated platform for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The firm is also introducing a refreshed brand identity as part of the broader initiative.

SEIA Tax Services combines the firm’s existing planning methodology with technology-enabled tax analysis intended to identify planning opportunities, develop customized strategies and incorporate tax considerations throughout client relationships.

SEIA is also expanding its family office offering through Baker Tilly Family Office.

The additional resources are intended for clients navigating multigenerational wealth, business ownership, major liquidity events and other complex financial circumstances.

The company has appointed Tim Gacsy as Director of Tax Services to lead the new tax entity.

Gacsy has 26 years of experience and previously spent more than seven years leading tax and cost-basis initiatives at LPL Financial, where his work supported more than 21,000 independent financial advisors.

He most recently led tax strategy and consulting for a national family office.

SEIA’s tax-first planning process begins with a review of a client’s tax return and overall financial position.

Technology-enabled analysis is then combined with advisor oversight to identify planning opportunities and integrate tax considerations into investment management, retirement planning, estate planning and other financial decisions.

Qualifying HNW and UHNW clients will also gain access to family governance, trust and fiduciary accounting, and broader family office advisory services.

Founded in 1997, SEIA manages approximately $32.6 billion in assets across 33 offices nationwide and has been backed by Reverence Capital since 2022.

KEY QUOTES:

“As we’ve continued to grow alongside high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, we’ve continued evolving how we serve them. The launch of SEIA Tax Services, expanded family office capabilities and our refreshed brand all reflect the same goal: helping clients navigate increasingly complex financial lives with the right resources at the right time.”

Matt Matrisian, President Of SEIA

“Income tax provides one of the clearest windows into a client’s overall financial picture. By bringing tax conversations to the forefront, we can identify planning opportunities earlier, collaborate more effectively across disciplines and help clients make decisions with a clearer understanding of their long-term financial impact.”

Tim Gacsy, Director Of Tax Services At SEIA

“The biggest financial decisions our clients face rarely fit neatly into one silo. Whether someone is preparing to sell a business, planning for the next generation or navigating a significant change in wealth, those decisions affect every part of their financial life. Expanding our tax and family office capabilities allows us to bring the right knowledge and resources together at the right time, so clients receive advice that’s coordinated around their goals, not around individual specialties.”
