Sennos, a company focused on AI-driven sensing, analytics, and automation for fermentation and fluidics industries, announced it has raised $20 million in a new funding round, bringing its total funding to more than $50 million. The investment was led by TomEnterprise, the Stockholm-based firm founded by Thomas von Koch, along with participation from Jan Ståhlberg, co-founder and former vice chairman of EQT.

The funding marks the company’s second raise in the past 12 months and reflects growing investor confidence in its platform, which integrates precision hardware, AI analytics, and automation to transform fermentation and bio-manufacturing processes. The capital will be used to accelerate product development, expand global sales, and support continued hiring as the company scales its operations.

Sennos has developed what it describes as the first live, end-to-end intelligent fermentation system, capable of capturing and analyzing billions of real-time measurements across variables such as temperature, pH, pressure, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. Its platform combines edge computing, cloud-based software, and AI models to deliver predictive insights and real-time control, enabling producers to optimize efficiency, consistency, and output.

The company’s technology is built around its Sennosystem platform, which includes in-tank sensor hardware, an AI-powered analytics engine, and software applications that provide continuous monitoring and decision support. By creating a unified data layer across fermentation processes, Sennos aims to replace traditional static sampling methods with dynamic, real-time intelligence.

Industry tailwinds are supporting adoption, with the global fluid sensor market projected to grow significantly over the next decade and the broader AI sensor market expected to reach substantial scale. Sennos is positioning itself to capitalize on this demand by expanding its platform across fermentation industries and other fluid-based manufacturing sectors.

KEY QUOTES:

“Fermentation is extraordinary. It is complex, dynamic, mysterious, and it is the foundation to many of the world’s most important products. Yet it has remained a difficult process to connect and control. We saw the problems, recognized the challenges, learned from our failures, have been supported by dream investors, and have now created the solution.”

“With this funding, we remain laser focused on democratizing intelligence — enabling fermentation and fluidics to be fully observable, predictable, and optimized for producers of all sizes. The goal is simple: real-time, predictive control and insights that drive efficiency, consistency, and profitability while reducing waste and unlocking a whole new universe of creative possibilities.”

Jared Resnick, Founder And CEO, Sennos

“We remain strong believers in Jared and his team and are proud to continue supporting the journey of Sennos. They are breaking new ground in transforming the fluid, fermentation, and bio-manufacturing industries, and are setting new standards through a truly data-driven approach. That kind of forward-thinking innovation is exactly what we look for when we invest.”

Thomas von Koch, Founder, TomEnterprise

“Sennos has developed a new standard for fluid control sensing and analytics. Utilizing its integrated hardware, software, AI, and unique data, Sennos visualizes previously unseen data to predict and optimize fluid control outcomes, unmatched by other technologies. The modular design allows for scalability across multiple industries. Partnering with customers, Sennos creates precise, disciplined, and innovative process control. Its continuous-learning AI and vast data access will ultimately enable complete control and prediction in fluid dynamics. Investment potential like this is truly rare to find, and I am proud to be a partner on the journey.”
