Sense Neuro Diagnostics has appointed Scott D. Wampler Chief Executive Officer as the medical technology company advances the clinical and regulatory development of its NeuroHawk non-invasive neurological assessment platform. Wampler’s appointment became effective August 26, 2026.
He brings more than 30 years of experience spanning medical devices, technology development and early-stage companies.
Over his career, Wampler has supported 61 companies and participated in 38 regulatory submissions, with experience covering product development, regulatory strategy, quality systems, intellectual property, capital formation and commercialization.
Wampler succeeds Gary Kurdziel, who will remain involved with Sense Neuro Diagnostics as a member of its Board of Directors.
The structure provides leadership continuity as the company moves through its next phase of clinical, regulatory and strategic development.
Sense Neuro Diagnostics is developing NeuroHawk, a non-invasive system that uses radiofrequency technology and advanced algorithms to evaluate changes within the brain.
The system is being designed to assess suspected brain injury without ionizing radiation and potentially give clinicians actionable information earlier in a patient’s care pathway.
The company is targeting neurological emergencies including stroke and traumatic brain injury, where the speed of assessment can materially affect subsequent clinical decision-making.
Its longer-term vision includes use in emergency departments, emergency medical services, rural healthcare and community settings where conventional neuroimaging may not be immediately available.
Wampler’s regulatory and early-stage medtech background will therefore become particularly relevant as Sense works to generate clinical evidence, execute its regulatory strategy and prepare the technology for potential commercialization.
