Sequoia Financial Group Acquires $175 Million Firm Quish, Expanding Colorado Wealth Management Presence

Sequoia Financial Group, an SEC-registered wealth management firm overseeing more than $36 billion in assets under management, has acquired Quish, an independent family office and wealth management firm based in Boulder, Colorado.

Quish managed more than $175 million in client assets as of September 30, 2026. The acquisition strengthens Sequoia Financial’s presence in Colorado and expands its capabilities serving families and individuals with complex financial planning needs.

Founded in 2008, Quish provides customized investment portfolios, wealth management services, and legacy planning for individuals and families.

Following the acquisition, Quish founder and principal Mariah Quish has joined Sequoia Financial and will become part of the firm’s Sequoia Sentinel Family Office team.

The acquired business will operate under the Sequoia Financial brand, allowing its clients to access a broader range of advisory services and specialized resources.

These capabilities include investment management, retirement planning, tax strategies, estate planning, risk management, and charitable giving.

Sequoia Financial’s Sentinel Family Office offering focuses on families with complex, multigenerational wealth management requirements, combining financial planning disciplines into coordinated advisory relationships.

The acquisition reflects Sequoia Financial’s strategy of expanding through the addition of established independent advisory firms while providing acquired teams with access to a larger operating platform.

The Quish transaction follows two other acquisitions completed by Sequoia Financial during 2026.

In September, the firm acquired BSW Wealth Partners, another Boulder-based wealth management business, which oversaw approximately $2.3 billion in client assets as of June 30, 2026.

The previous month, Sequoia Financial acquired All Star Financial, a Twin Cities-based wealth manager with approximately $1.3 billion in assets under management and advisement as of June 30, 2026.

Together, these transactions illustrate the firm’s continued expansion into regional wealth management markets, including Colorado and the Midwest.

Sequoia Financial now serves approximately 11,000 client households through more than 40 offices, with clients located across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1991, the firm operates a team-based advisory model intended to combine specialized financial planning capabilities with long-term client relationships.

Sequoia Financial was also ranked 20th on Barron’s 2026 list of the 100 top registered investment advisory firms.

Warner Norcross + Judd LLP served as legal advisor to Quish in the transaction.

The acquisition adds an established family office advisory practice to Sequoia Financial’s platform while further strengthening its position in the western United States.
