Shelpful, which secured a $3 million Seed investment from Apollo Projects (Sam Altman’s fund), has released an iOS app in the Apple App Store. This marks the company’s move beyond its WhatsApp-based HabitGPT service and brings its habit-building and task management tools into a native mobile environment.
Tailored for ADHD minds and anyone feeling overwhelmed, the app replaces traditional to-do lists with a friendly chat window. Users begin with a brief coaching-style conversation to establish realistic habits and tasks, then personalize an AI companion—choosing its tone, name, and style—to guide them through their daily goals.
Instead of filling out forms, users type or speak their next task into chat and receive proactive reminders. The app supports one-time and recurring nudges, lets users snooze or reschedule reminders directly in the conversation, and offers a “burn it down” reset button to start fresh whenever needed.
A unified view shows all habits and tasks, which can be organized by dragging and dropping or left to the AI buddy to manage automatically. Shelpful’s design ensures that every to-do—from urgent deadlines to self-care rituals—gets equal attention, helping users maintain momentum without manual list upkeep.
Available now with a limited-time 50 percent launch discount, the iOS app builds on insights gained from hundreds of beta testers. Features like the reset button and in-chat snoozing were developed in response to real-world challenges faced by individuals with ADHD, ensuring the product meets users where they are and makes habit formation feel achievable.
KEY QUOTES:
“Most productivity apps assume executive function isn’t the problem. But for people with ADHD or anyone who feels stuck, the real challenge is following through when everything feels overwhelming. We wanted to create a support system that feels more like a helpful friend than another task list to manage.”
