Shermco Industries announced it has acquired Power Quality Engineering (PQE), strengthening its engineering capabilities and expanding its presence in Central Texas while accelerating growth in the data center market. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Cedar Park, Texas, PQE specializes in electrical system design and engineering, commissioning, and maintenance services. The company serves mission-critical industries including data centers, semiconductors, healthcare, water and wastewater, and commercial facilities.
Shermco, based in Irving, Texas, provides electrical testing, engineering and design, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services to utilities, industrial companies, energy providers, and other end markets. The company operates more than 40 locations across North America and works with a diversified blue-chip client base.
By integrating PQE’s engineering expertise and established customer relationships with Shermco’s national platform and service capabilities, the combined organization aims to expand its offerings in power systems engineering and NETA field services across the region. The acquisition also supports Shermco’s broader strategy to expand into high-growth infrastructure sectors, particularly the rapidly expanding data center market.
Shermco said the combination will provide customers with deeper technical expertise, expanded geographic reach, and a broader range of electrical system maintenance, engineering, and specialized testing services.
