Shine Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, has announced the promotion of Ethan Daly to General Partner. Daly, who joined Shine in 2020 as its first hire, has played a significant role in shaping the firm’s investment strategy and supporting its portfolio companies.
In his new role, he will continue to lead investments and serve as a board director across Shine’s portfolio, while remaining based in the firm’s New York City office.
The promotion reflects Daly’s deep alignment with Shine’s ethos and his ability to bridge technology and culture. According to Shine founder Mo Koyfman, Daly is “deeply complementary” to the firm’s leadership and has a strong pulse on emerging trends in consumer, crypto, and AI sectors.
Shine Capital currently manages over $600 million across three early-stage funds and one opportunity fund, with offices in New York and San Francisco. The firm is known for backing relentless entrepreneurs at the intersection of technology, markets, and culture.
