SI Solutions announced it has acquired Radiological Solutions, Inc. through its advanced engineering division, Structural Integrity Associates, Inc., expanding its nuclear energy capabilities across plant chemistry, radiological controls, radiation protection, and operational performance support.
Radiological Solutions brings expertise in areas including water chemistry optimization, gamma scanning, radiological dose management, emergency preparedness, and the design of specialized sampling and monitoring systems used to help nuclear facilities operate safely and efficiently. SI Solutions said the deal broadens Structural Integrity Associates’ capabilities in chemistry, equipment design, environmental, emergency preparedness, and radiation management, enabling more turnkey offerings for the global nuclear power industry.
Radiological Solutions, based outside Chicago, has served the nuclear power industry since 2004 and focuses on nuclear plant chemistry for both boiling water reactors and pressurized water reactors, along with outage and operational chemistry support, radiation protection, online fuel inspections, and specialized equipment used to monitor and control water chemistry and radiological conditions.
Structural Integrity Associates, founded in 1983, provides engineering and consulting services focused on analyzing, controlling, and preventing structural and mechanical failures, with work spanning critical equipment and structures in power generation and utility infrastructure markets.
SI Solutions said it delivers services to critical infrastructure owners and operators worldwide and is backed by MidOcean Partners. The company said it employs 600 professionals across 14 offices globally.
