Sidley Austin Expands Finance Practice With Leah Edelboim Hire In New York

Sidley Austin announced that Leah Edelboim has joined the firm’s Global Finance practice as a partner in its New York office, strengthening its fund finance capabilities and lender-side offerings. She previously served as a Fund Finance partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Edelboim is joined by counsel Ashley Flaherty in Charlotte, along with a team of eight associates based in New York, Chicago, and Charlotte.

Edelboim represents major financial institutions acting as lenders and administrative agents, as well as other market participants, across the full spectrum of fund finance products. Her practice focuses on syndicated, club, and bilateral subscription credit facilities, in addition to NAV facilities, hybrid structures, management fee lines, GP financings, capital relief trades, and other tailored financing arrangements. She brings experience representing both borrowers and lenders and has advised clients on structuring transactions to address evolving regulatory requirements and investor trends. Her background also includes advising ratings agencies and providers of financial guaranty and insurance products in fund finance transactions.

The hire continues Sidley’s expansion of its Global Finance bench over the past two years, with recent partner additions across New York, Chicago, London, San Diego, and Century City.
