Sidley announced that Deepak Nanda has joined the firm’s M&A and PE group as a partner in the firm’s office in Century City, California. Nanda joins from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he was a partner in the M&A and Private Equity practice groups.
Nanda focuses on transactional and securities matters, such as cross-border mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, privatization transactions, leveraged recapitalizations, and buyouts; venture capital and private equity fund formation and portfolio company investment; public and private offerings of equity and debt securities; public corporation securities laws and reporting compliance; and structured finance transactions.
Nanda’s experience is across various industries, with particular sector experience in life sciences, technology, financial services, and media and entertainment. And Nanda’s practice has a global scope, including transactions in the Middle East, India, Singapore, China, South Korea, Canada, Latin America, and Australia.
Nanda joins Sidley as it continues to grow in California with other recent hires and the opening of an office in San Diego. In the last year, Sidley also welcomed partners Judith Sidkoff, Nima Mohebbi, and Natalie Karam in Century City; Jason Mills and Jon Dean in Los Angeles; Sarah Carlson and Jon Olsen in San Diego; and Mike Podolny, Shane Goudey, and Rebecca Stuart in Palo Alto.
