By Amit Chowdhry ● Jan 5, 2026

Sidus Space announced it has appointed aerospace and defense executive Kelle Wendling to its board of directors, adding a veteran leader with more than three decades of experience in government contracting, space systems, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) markets.

Wendling previously served as president of the Space Systems Sector at L3Harris Technologies, where she led strategic growth, innovation, and programs supporting U.S. and international government customers, according to the company. During a nearly 30-year career at L3Harris (and predecessor Harris Corporation), she also held senior leadership roles, including president of the Mission Networks Sector, vice president and general manager of ISR Solutions, and vice president of business development, strategy, and technology for a business segment with more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue.

Sidus said Wendling currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Florida Institute of Technology and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics and computer science from Florida Tech. She has also completed executive education programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Her appointment is effective immediately, the company said.

Separately, Sidus said Dana Kilborne and Cole Oliver have elected to conclude their service on the board effective January 1, 2025, citing personal reasons. In connection with those changes, the company said Tiffany Norwood has been appointed chair of the audit committee.

Sidus said it provides satellite manufacturing and technology integration, AI-driven space-based data solutions, mission planning and management operations, AI/ML products and services, and space and defense hardware manufacturing. The company said it operates a 35,000-square-foot manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing facility on Florida’s Space Coast and has space heritage through its LizzieSat® satellite and sensor system.

KEY QUOTES:

“We sincerely thank Dana and Cole for their years of service, thoughtful guidance, and commitment to Sidus. Their contributions have played an important role in the Company’s growth, and we wish them continued success in their future endeavors.”
