Sidus Space has appointed Alan Khalili as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 27, 2026. Khalili succeeds John Burke, who served as interim CFO during the company’s leadership transition.
Khalili brings more than two decades of financial and operating experience spanning space technology, satellites, investment banking, accounting and publicly traded companies.
His background includes co-founding a space-based aviation surveillance data platform and serving as the CFO of a public company.
Khalili has experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, capital markets, internal controls, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and scaling technology organizations.
At Sidus Space, he will oversee financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, compliance, internal controls, investor relations support and capital allocation.
He will also support the company’s efforts to commercialize its satellite manufacturing, AI and defense technology portfolio across government and commercial markets.
Sidus is expanding production of its satellites and seeking to commercialize its Fortis VPX digital mission computing platform, artificial intelligence products and space-based data services.
The company operates a vertically integrated business spanning satellite design and manufacturing, mission management, AI-enabled analytics, hardware components and technology integration.
Sidus operates a 35,000-square-foot manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing facility on Florida’s Space Coast.
The company said Khalili will focus on converting its portfolio into durable recurring revenue while strengthening financial discipline and supporting strategic expansion.
