SignalFire, a San Francisco-based venture firm that is focused on mining actionable data, announced that it raised $500 million in capital commitments across two funds according to TechCrunch. One of the funds is a $200 million seed fund that SignalFire will be using to write checks at up to $5 million.

The other fund is set up at $300 million to invest in the firm’s portfolio companies in the growth stage. These two funds are a big jump from the debut fund, which closed at $53 million in 2015. And the company raised another $330 million in capital across two funds in 2017.

SignalFire founder Chris Farmer launched the firm after working at Bessemer Venture Partners and General Catalyst for several years. SignalFire has 30 employees across its engineering and data science division and the company also has a division that is focused on portfolio operations. Along with Farmer, SignalFire has 3 partners, including Ilya Kirnos, Wayne Hu, and Walter Kortschak.

Venture partners at the firm also include Zume co-founder and CEO Alex Garden and Mulesoft founder Ross Mason. Former Netflix executive Tani Pozirekides is also an operating partner at SignalFire. SignalFire venture partner Tony Huie is also working as the COO of portfolio company Pango.

Some of SignalFire’s portfolio companies include push notifications company OneSignal, on-demand retail worker company Jyve, and primary school communications app ClassDojo.
