Sigrid: $5 Million Raised To Scale Non-Systemic Metabolic Health Platform

Sigrid, a Swedish consumer health company focused on metabolic health through non-systemic science, announced it has raised $5 million to accelerate commercialization and platform expansion, bringing its total capital raised to about $27 million.

The company said the round included both existing backers and new international investors, citing growing confidence in its clinically validated approach and rising commercial traction in the United States.

Sigrid’s flagship product, Glucose Stabiliser, is a dietary supplement positioned to support blood sugar management and weight-related goals. The company said adoption is increasing through its direct-to-consumer business as well as a growing network of U.S. physicians, and that the product generated more than 3x revenue growth over the past 12 months.

Sigrid’s technology platform, SiPore, is designed to work mechanically in the gut without entering the body. The company said the latest funding will support further U.S. expansion and continued development of new categories built on the same platform.

On the regulatory front, Sigrid said it has submitted its technical file toward CE-mark approval in the European Union and is progressing toward authorization of an over-the-counter medical device intended to support weight reduction and metabolic health in adults living with excess weight and elevated blood sugar as part of a structured lifestyle management program.

Beyond metabolic health, Sigrid said it is expanding SiPore into additional verticals, including oral care, veterinary health, and food technology, and is in partnership discussions with consumer health, nutrition, and pharmaceutical organizations related to licensing and distribution.
