Silent Push Appoints Kirk Appelman As Senior Vice President Of Global Sales

Silent Push has appointed Kirk Appelman as Senior Vice President of Global Sales as the cybersecurity company expands its international presence and prepares for its next phase of revenue growth. Appelman will lead Silent Push’s global sales organization and help the company introduce its preemptive cyber defense platform to more enterprises and government agencies.

He brings more than 20 years of technology sales and leadership experience, with a particular focus on building, expanding, and restructuring go-to-market organizations at cybersecurity companies.

Appelman most recently held leadership roles at Synack, where he helped expand the company’s Penetration Testing as a Service platform among Global 2000 businesses and U.S. government customers.

Penetration Testing as a Service combines software, security researchers, and ongoing testing to identify vulnerabilities that could be exploited by attackers. Unlike periodic security assessments, the model can provide organizations with more continuous evaluation of their defenses.

Before Synack, Appelman served as Executive Vice President of Sales at Finite State, where he led go-to-market strategy for the company’s software supply chain risk platform.

His background also includes senior sales leadership roles at EfficientIP, Illusive Networks, GoSecure, Proofpoint, McAfee, Juniper Networks and Internet Security Systems.

Appelman also serves as a go-to-market adviser to CipherData, which develops an AI-native detection and response platform.

Silent Push provides intelligence about emerging malicious internet infrastructure. Its technology is designed to help security teams identify and block potential threats before attackers begin targeting an organization.

Traditional threat intelligence frequently focuses on indicators connected to known attacks, such as malicious domains, IP addresses or files already observed during an incident.

Silent Push takes a more proactive approach through what it calls Indicators of Future Attack. The company analyzes infrastructure, hosting patterns, domain activity and other internet signals to identify systems that may be preparing to support phishing, malware, credential theft or other malicious activity.

This intelligence can help organizations block suspicious infrastructure before it becomes part of an active campaign.

Silent Push offers its technology through a standalone platform and application programming interfaces. Its intelligence can also be integrated with security information and event management, extended detection and response, security orchestration, threat intelligence and open-source intelligence tools.

These integrations allow customers to incorporate Silent Push data into existing investigation and response workflows.

Appelman’s appointment follows several recent company milestones. Silent Push was named to Fast Company’s 2026 list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies and launched Silent Push 6.0.

The updated platform includes enhancements to Traffic Origin, along with new workflow and integration capabilities intended to help security teams investigate infrastructure more efficiently.

Silent Push also expanded its presence in Australia and New Zealand through a strategic partnership with Unfold.

CEO and co-founder Ken Bagnall said Appelman’s experience building high-performing cybersecurity sales teams will support Silent Push as it grows its global customer base.

The company serves Fortune 500 businesses and government agencies seeking earlier visibility into emerging cyber threats.
