Silverfort Acquires Fabrix Security to Build Autonomous Runtime Identity Protection

Silverfort, an identity security company, has acquired Fabrix Security, an AI-native identity security startup, to deliver what the companies describe as the first autonomous identity security platform operating at runtime. The combination targets a growing vulnerability in enterprise security as the surge of non-human and agentic identities outpaces the speed of traditional access controls.

Fabrix provides an identity knowledge graph and a real-time AI-driven authorization engine that evaluates access requests from human, machine, and agentic identities in milliseconds. Silverfort contributes its patented Runtime Access Protection technology, which enforces those decisions continuously across an organization’s entire identity infrastructure. Together, the platform aims to replace static, pre-written authorization rules with context-driven decisions made at the moment of access.

The acquisition reflects mounting pressure on enterprise security teams as AI agents proliferate across corporate environments. Traditional identity and access management tools rely on rules created in advance, a model that cannot keep pace with the speed and unpredictable behavior of agentic systems. The combined platform is designed to evaluate every access request dynamically, drawing on real-time context including organizational intent, permissions, and business environment.

Fabrix was founded by Raz Rotenberg, a former founding engineer at Run:ai prior to its acquisition by Nvidia, and CTO Ofir Yakovian, a former tech lead at Orca Security and Microsoft Entra. The company raised 8 million dollars from Norwest, toDay Ventures, and Jibe Ventures. Joint capabilities are expected to become available in the second half of 2026, with Silverfort targeting rollout across its more than 1,000 enterprise customers.

KEY QUOTES:

“Today, Identity Security and access control rely on rules that are created at admin time, attempting to pre-define access. But in the AI era, it’s becoming impossible to keep up, and organizations are rapidly losing control. The only way to mitigate this risk without stopping the business is to make access decisions at runtime, using AI and deep context.”

Hed Kovetz, CEO and Co-Founder, Silverfort

“We founded Fabrix with a clear vision: making Identity Security easier, faster, and more scalable using an AI-native approach. By joining Silverfort, we can bring this transformation to the largest companies in the world and combine our AI engine with Silverfort’s runtime enforcement to create something no one has achieved before.”
