SiMa.ai has raised $150 million in an oversubscribed Series C financing, bringing its total capital raised to $500 million and valuing the company at $1.45 billion. The round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify, with participation from Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, Maverick Capital, +ND Capital, Point72, and StepStone Group. AllianceBernstein, Baron Capital, J.P. Morgan, and the State of Michigan joined as new investors.
The new financing will support SiMa.ai’s expansion across Physical AI markets, including humanoid robotics, automotive systems, drones, industrial automation, and other edge applications where AI models must operate under tight power and performance constraints.
Founded in 2018, SiMa.ai develops a full-stack Physical AI platform combining purpose-built silicon with software. The company’s approach is designed to move AI workloads away from reliance on general-purpose, power-intensive computing architectures and toward hardware optimized specifically for real-world autonomous systems.
SiMa.ai said its technology is being used by more than 150 customers across automotive, drones, robotics, and other markets. Its customer and partner network includes ARK Electronics, AVerMedia, Bosch, Emerson, Intrinsic, Kontron, L&T Technology Services, Micron, STIGA, Synopsys, TRUMPF, and Virya Autonomous Technologies.
The company is positioning itself around a growing Physical AI market in which AI models increasingly operate in machines rather than primarily in cloud software environments.
Counterpoint Research projects cumulative shipments of Physical AI devices, including robotics, automotive systems, and drones, to reach 145 million units by 2035.
SiMa.ai’s platform combines its production-ready Modalix machine learning system-on-chip with Palette Neat, an agentic software environment designed for Physical AI application development.
The company said this combination can reduce deployment timelines from months to days or hours by simplifying development and migration across hardware architectures.
A major use of the Series C proceeds will be scaling Palette Neat while funding SiMa.ai’s next generation of Physical AI hardware.
The company plans to introduce hardware capable of delivering 1,000 dense TOPS of compute while operating at less than 80 watts. The next-generation technology is scheduled for the first half of 2028 and is expected to be offered in multiple formats, including machine learning IP, chiplets, and systems-on-chip.
SiMa.ai intends to apply the technology across medium- and high-end drones, humanoid robotics, automotive advanced driver assistance systems, and AI-powered vehicle cockpits.
The company’s software architecture is also intended to make it easier for customers to migrate existing applications onto future generations of SiMa.ai products rather than rebuilding applications for each hardware platform.
SiMa.ai said commercial momentum has increased alongside development of its platform. The company reported that revenue quadrupled between 2024 and 2025 and said revenue continues to show strong upward momentum in 2026.
The Series C follows earlier investment from a group of technology-focused investors and gives SiMa.ai additional resources to compete in a market that includes established semiconductor companies as well as startups building chips and software for edge AI applications.
The company sees power efficiency as particularly important for Physical AI systems because robots, drones, vehicles, and other autonomous devices frequently operate with limited power and cooling capacity.
Unlike large data centers, these systems often require high-performance AI inference within constrained thermal and energy environments.
SiMa.ai is also approaching Physical AI as a software development challenge rather than solely a semiconductor problem. Its strategy combines hardware designed specifically for AI workloads with tools intended to make deployment and application development easier for customers.
The new capital will support that full-stack strategy as the company expands commercial deployments and develops its next generation of products.
KEY QUOTES:
“Physical AI in humanoids, automotive, and drones is the gateway to a $50 trillion market that has remained largely untouched by modern innovation. While others are still figuring out the pieces or repurposing their cloud offerings, we’ve built the entire puzzle. This investment will further catapult us into a dominant position, giving us the resources to scale our purpose-built platform and secure an undeniable lead in the Physical AI race.”
Krishna Rangasayee, Founder And CEO Of SiMa.ai
“Since our initial partnership with SiMa.ai from day one, we have believed its vision was both clear and transformative: to build a fundamentally new architecture for Physical AI where software dictates the silicon.”
Mike Dauber, General Partner At Amplify Partners
“Truly scaling physical AI requires more than just raw compute. It demands incredible power efficiency and seamless integration into highly constrained environments. SiMa.ai has created a differentiated, purpose-built Physical AI platform that answers the rigorous demands of real-world applications.”
