SiMa.ai announced it has secured a strategic investment from Micron Technology to accelerate the scaling of production-ready, high-performance, and power-efficient Physical AI solutions. The investment strengthens collaboration between the two companies around tightly integrated compute and memory architectures designed to deliver superior performance-per-watt for edge applications, including robotics, autonomous systems, and industrial automation.
Physical AI, which enables real-world systems to perceive, reason, and act in real time, requires advanced memory architectures that balance high bandwidth with extreme power efficiency. SiMa.ai addresses this need through its Modalix MLSoC platform, which features a sophisticated memory hierarchy capable of supporting complex workloads such as large language models and vision language models at the edge.
To further optimize performance, SiMa.ai has integrated Micron’s LPDDR5X memory into its Modalix MLSoC platform. This combination enhances bandwidth efficiency and power optimization, enabling high-performance deployments across robotics, autonomous vehicles, and smart industrial systems. The companies aim to reduce time to market for global customers through hardware and software co-optimization.
Customers can deploy these capabilities immediately using SiMa.ai’s System-on-Modules, which incorporate Micron memory and are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing platforms. These modules provide a streamlined path from prototype to production for applications in robotics, industrial automation, and autonomous systems.
The investment also expands SiMa.ai’s broader technology ecosystem, which includes partners such as Arm, Cerence AI, L&T Technology Services Limited, Synopsys, TSMC, and Wind River. Leveraging Micron’s relationships across the semiconductor supply chain, the partnership further strengthens the Modalix platform’s position as a validated Physical AI solution.
