SingleStore To Be Acquired In Buyout Led by Vector Capital

By Amit Chowdhry • Sep 11, 2025

SingleStore, a data platform known for powering enterprise AI applications, has agreed on a growth buyout led by Vector Capital. This deal marks a significant step forward for SingleStore as it continues to scale its operations and expand its reach in the fast-growing AI and data infrastructure space.

The company’s leadership team, including CEO Raj Verma, will remain in place and continue to guide SingleStore through its next phase. Long-standing investors such as Google Ventures, Dell Technologies Capital, IBM, and REV Venture Partners will also stay on board. At the same time, several of Vector Capital’s limited partners—including firms like J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s External Investing Group, and Lexington Partners—will invest alongside Vector in the deal. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

SingleStore has built a reputation for delivering ultra-low-latency database solutions that allow organizations to transact, analyze, and search data in real time—all on a single platform. This capability is especially critical for companies developing AI-driven applications that require speed, precision, and scalability. The platform is used by a wide range of global enterprises, including Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, LG, Adobe, Siemens, and Comcast, among many others.

The company recently reported record performance for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, with notable growth across key metrics. Total net new annual recurring revenue rose by 34% compared to the same period last year, while new customer revenue more than tripled. Managed and cloud services also saw strong momentum, with over 80% year-on-year growth.

SingleStore’s success is rooted in its long-term vision to build a database platform engineered explicitly for the AI era. Its architecture supports both transactional and analytical workloads, offers horizontal scalability, and includes advanced features like vector search and full-text search. These capabilities make it a compelling choice for enterprises looking to build mission-critical AI applications.

SingleStore will also host its annual conference, SingleStore Now, in New York City on October 1, 2025, where it will share more details about its roadmap and upcoming initiatives.

Advisors/counsel: SingleStore engaged Goldman Sachs as financial advisor, PWC as audit advisors, and Fenwick as legal counsel in connection with the transaction. Paul Hastings served as legal counsel to Vector Capital.
