Sirona Medical Raises $40 Million Series D Led By Avidity Partners As Platform Usage Surges

Sirona Medical has raised $40 million in Series D financing to expand its cloud-native radiology platform, accelerate commercialization of its agentic AI capabilities, and support international growth. The round was led by Avidity Partners, with participation from 8VC, GreatPoint Ventures, KLT Holdings, and other new and existing investors. Sirona said the financing funds its operating plan indefinitely and brings its total venture capital backing to approximately $150 million.

Sirona’s RadOS platform combines PACS, diagnostic viewing, reporting, worklist functionality, and workflow AI within a single cloud-native system. Since its public launch in November 2023, the company has grown to dozens of contracted customers across hundreds of integrated sites, with more than 12 million primary imaging exams annually under contract.

As of September 30, 2026, Sirona said revenue had increased 2.5x year over year, while contracted annual recurring revenue increased 2.7x. PACS archive usage grew 2.5x, and diagnostic reports submitted through the platform doubled year over year.

The company is also under contract to onboard more than 1,000 additional radiologists over the next 12 months. Mean new-customer contracted ARR reached $1.07 million on a trailing 12-month basis, while mean total contract value reached $5.10 million.

Sirona plans to use the funding to expand its client services organization and U.S.-based implementation and support capabilities. The company hired Anders Osterholm, a Sectra veteran of 25 years, to lead Client Services and is opening offices in Burlington, Vermont, and Cincinnati, Ohio.

The financing will also support commercialization of Sirona Cortex, the company’s agentic AI orchestration layer, and further development of the Sirona Network. Hundreds of radiologists are already operating on Sirona’s shared cloud-native infrastructure, and more than half of customers currently collaborate through the RadOS platform in some form.

International expansion is another priority. Sirona plans to launch Sirona Global before the end of 2026, targeting markets including the U.K., European Union, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and others.

The company said it will also release a “Built on Sirona” series highlighting customer deployments and technical case studies showing how radiology practices are using RadOS to address operational and economic challenges.
