SJE announced the acquisition of Anchor Scientific, a manufacturer and distributor of switches and controllers for the water and wastewater industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands SJE’s portfolio of liquid level floats and related products, strengthening the company’s presence across municipal, commercial, and residential markets. The transaction marks SJE’s eighth acquisition since 2021 and its first acquisition of 2026.
Founded in 1965 and operated by brothers John and David Potter, Anchor Scientific manufactures float switches and related products from its facility in Long Lake, Minnesota. The company has built a reputation as a provider of float switch solutions for the water and wastewater industry across the United States.
SJE said the acquisition will integrate Anchor Scientific into its Controls and Level Sensing Technology (CLT) division. The company expects the addition to broaden its product offerings and expand its customer reach in the water and wastewater markets.
SJE, founded in 1975, operates as a global provider of control systems and related technologies for residential, commercial, municipal, water, wastewater, and industrial markets. The privately held company operates through more than eleven brands with locations throughout the United States, Mexico, and Asia.
Anchor Scientific specializes in liquid level float switches, control panels, alarms, and junction boxes designed for municipal, commercial, and residential applications.
