SK Capital Partners announced that it has completed the acquisition of Brothers International Food Holdings, a global provider of natural fruit ingredients and products, from Benford Capital Partners.
The transaction gives SK Capital a controlling stake in the company, with founder and CEO Travis Betters retaining significant ownership and continuing to lead the business. The partnership is intended to support the company’s next phase of growth, including both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Rochester, New York, Brothers International operates as a key intermediary in the global fruit ingredient supply chain. The company sources tropical and exotic fruit concentrates and purees from more than 30 countries, providing integrated services across sourcing, logistics, quality assurance, and product development.
Brothers International works with a global network of growers, processors, and manufacturers, helping customers manage the complexity of fruit ingredients, including perishability, seasonality, regulatory requirements, and consistency of supply. In addition to its ingredient business, the company offers freeze-dried snack products through its Brothers All Natural subsidiary, serving both branded and private-label retail channels.
SK Capital is focused on investing in specialty ingredients, materials, and life sciences businesses, and is positioning Brothers International as a platform investment within the food ingredients sector. The firm highlighted the company’s role in enabling reliable access to natural and clean-label ingredients, a category experiencing sustained demand growth.
The acquisition also builds on Brothers International’s recent expansion, which includes multiple acquisitions over the past several years, reinforcing its position in the global fruit ingredients market.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
