Skadden announced that Brian O’Donoghue has joined the firm as a partner in its Mass Torts, Insurance and Consumer Litigation Group in Chicago. O’Donoghue has led major multidistrict litigation matters in the U.S. and globally for pharmaceutical, industrial, and life science companies.
O’Donoghue advises clients on high-profile product liability, environmental, consumer, and complex commercial disputes. His practice also includes mass torts, class actions, internal investigations, and litigation involving multinational corporate clients.
Beyond mass torts and class action matters, O’Donoghue has experience leading significant commercial disputes. He also works with key experts to develop factual and scientific evidence to support litigation strategy and trial preparation.
O’Donoghue represents corporate clients across several industries. These include technology, transportation, energy, entertainment, pharmaceuticals, industrials, and life sciences.
Skadden said O’Donoghue’s experience strengthens the firm’s mass-torts and class-action capabilities. The firm also said his ability to manage broad, complex litigation across jurisdictions will support clients facing growing product liability and mass-tort demands.
O’Donoghue earned his J.D. from Yale Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. He has been recognized by Chambers USA in Litigation: Product Liability and Product Liability & Mass Torts categories.
