Skadden announced it welcomed Dr. Matthias Schudlo as a partner in the Frankfurt office’s financial sponsor practice. Dr. Schudlo was previously a partner in another global law firm’s private equity practice.
Dr. Schudlo focuses on private equity transactions, complex cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. And he advises on large-cap and mid-cap deals, in particular financial sponsor-led auctions and other transactions, representing financial sponsors on both the sell-side and buy-side. Along with his M&A and private equity work, Dr. Schudlo has significant experience with growth investments, intra-fund transfers, carve-out transactions and joint ventures. He represents clients across a wide array of industries, including software and technology, health care, industrials, transportation and logistics, and consumer goods.
Dr. Schudlo is fluent in German, English, Chinese, French and Polish. And he has been a member of the Frankfurt am Main bar association since 2013 and regularly lectures on developments in corporate law, M&A and private equity for financial sponsors and corporate clients.
