Skan AI, a leader in enterprise process intelligence, has announced the acquisition of Metaculars, a company known for developing AI agents that enhance enterprise operations. The acquisition strengthens Skan AI’s position as the only platform that unites process intelligence with agentic execution, advancing its mission to build the next-generation Observation to Agent platform.
Based in Menlo Park, California, Skan AI is widely recognized for its expertise in transforming complex enterprise workflows into actionable intelligence. The addition of Metaculars accelerates the company’s roadmap to deliver AI systems capable of not only observing and understanding enterprise processes but also autonomously acting on them. The move brings together Metaculars’ expertise in AI agent development and Skan’s proven foundation in process observation and governance, positioning the combined company to redefine enterprise automation.
Metaculars was founded by Rajesh Gupta, formerly of Apple and Qualcomm, and Sumit Kumar, an AI/ML researcher. The company developed advanced AI agents that embed directly within enterprise applications to improve onboarding, workflow automation, and real-time decision-making. These capabilities enable use cases such as proactive workflow execution, intelligent task orchestration, and in-app user guidance—allowing enterprise systems to become more adaptive and context-aware.
Following the acquisition, Gupta and the Metaculars engineering team will join Skan’s AI product group to expand agentic capabilities across core business operations, including automation, workflow orchestration, and intelligent task execution. Their technology will integrate seamlessly with Skan’s existing platform to enhance both observability and agentic action across enterprise ecosystems.
Through this integration, customers will gain access to a new class of embedded AI agents capable of accelerating onboarding, streamlining claims and underwriting processes, and guiding users through complex workflows. The agents will also improve operational performance by reducing manual effort, enforcing compliance, and increasing throughput. In regulated industries such as financial services and healthcare, the platform’s embedded governance features will ensure auditability, policy adherence, and data integrity without disrupting existing systems.
Skan AI’s Observation to Agent framework aims to create an intelligent loop between process discovery and autonomous execution, where AI agents can observe human actions, learn from them, and execute routine decisions in real time. The acquisition of Metaculars is a major step toward realizing that vision, enabling enterprises to achieve new levels of agility and efficiency.
