Geospatial platform SkyFi has announced the appointment of Andrew Canales as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this role, Canales will lead global revenue strategy across government and enterprise markets, overseeing SkyFi’s sales and business development teams as the company expands its reach and impact.
Geospatial intelligence has become a cornerstone of modern decision-making, enabling organizations to integrate location data with satellite and aerial imagery for actionable insights. SkyFi is at the forefront of this transformation, offering access to a diverse range of imagery—including optical, SAR, hyperspectral, and aerial—through a network of nearly 50 partners. Its platform empowers users across various industries, including defense, energy, finance, and agriculture, to make faster and smarter decisions without requiring deep technical expertise.
Canales brings nearly 20 years of experience in geospatial and defense technology sales. He most recently served as Vice President of Business Development for the U.S. Government at Maxar Technologies, where he led strategic engagements with defense primes and emerging technology firms in support of national security missions. Before that, he directed enterprise sales across the Americas and later served as Maxar’s Vice President of Global Enterprise Sales.
Throughout his career at Maxar and DigitalGlobe, Canales consistently exceeded performance targets, securing multimillion-dollar contracts with the Department of Defense, Fortune 500 companies, and international governments. He earned ten President’s Club awards and played a key role in launching new products, including Maxar’s Raptor vision-based navigation solution. His academic background includes a B.A. in Geography from the University of Colorado, a post-graduate GIS program from the University of Denver, and advanced training through the Harvard Program on Negotiation.
