Skylight Health has acquired Stellation Care, a provider analytics company that uses AI-augmented datasets and algorithms to deliver provider intelligence and referral optimization insights for health plans and risk-bearing provider groups.
Skylight said the deal adds AI-powered provider and network insights to its multispecialty orchestration platform, which is designed to improve specialty outcomes and reduce costs through data-driven care coordination. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition is expected to bolster Skylight’s “Illuminations” strategy, which provides specialist-centric analytics that incorporate clinical guidelines, evidence-based quality measures, network adequacy, and referral patterns. Skylight also operates local “Collaboration Hubs” that support assessment, monitoring, and treatment, alongside access to community specialists, and it supports multispecialty risk arrangements for specialist-led value-based care.
Stellation’s tools are used for network design, referral optimization, performance improvement, and growth. The company said its models control for patient complexity to help identify high-performing providers by procedure and condition.
Together, the companies serve government and commercial health plans as well as risk-based provider organizations, with customers covering more than 3 million unique members.
Skylight Health, cofounded by Jesse Hunter and Dr. Doug Smith, said it is building a multispecialty orchestration platform that harmonizes information between specialists and payors, pairing a shared data platform with technology-enabled orchestration, human clinical support, local hubs, and clinically aligned specialist networks.
