Slalom Names Dan Garrison Chief AI Officer To Advance Enterprise AI Strategy

Slalom has appointed Dan Garrison as Chief AI Officer as the global business and technology consulting company increases its investment in dedicated AI leadership and expands its efforts to help customers turn artificial intelligence initiatives into measurable business outcomes.

Garrison will be responsible for setting Slalom’s overall AI strategy and vision while bringing together the company’s capabilities, market teams, and technology partnerships around a more coordinated approach to AI transformation.

The appointment comes as Slalom sees organizations moving beyond early experimentation with generative AI and seeking clearer returns from larger enterprise deployments.

Rather than promoting a single AI model or technology stack, Slalom is positioning its strategy to help customers identify use cases that fit their business requirements, implement AI responsibly, and scale programs that deliver tangible value.

Garrison will work directly with customers and Slalom’s technology partners to accelerate those deployments and help organizations move from AI ambitions into operational implementation.

His responsibilities will also include ensuring Slalom’s consulting teams have access to current AI training, tools, technical capabilities, and lessons learned from deployments across different industries.

Slalom believes its combination of consulting capabilities and partnerships with major technology providers gives the company an opportunity to help customers navigate an increasingly fragmented AI ecosystem.

As AI technologies evolve quickly, organizations are increasingly evaluating multiple models, platforms, data environments, and implementation approaches. Slalom’s strategy emphasizes combining those technologies with business transformation expertise rather than treating AI deployments as isolated technology projects.

Garrison brings nearly three decades of technology and consulting experience to the role.

He joins Slalom after approximately 30 years at Accenture, where his work spanned digital transformation, technology architecture, delivery, quantum computing, generative AI, and other emerging technologies.

Most recently, Garrison served as Chief Technology Officer of Accenture Song. In that position, he helped guide technology strategy, innovation, acquisition integration, and large-scale transformation initiatives across the global organization.

Throughout his career, Garrison has also led complex enterprise transformations and built and scaled global technology organizations.

At Slalom, that experience will be applied both to customer engagements and to the company’s own internal AI capabilities.

The company describes its broader AI philosophy as “fiercely human AI,” reflecting an approach that combines automation and emerging technology with human expertise, organizational change, and responsible implementation.

Slalom expects Garrison’s appointment to strengthen its ability to help customers determine where AI can create meaningful value, move successful projects into production, and continuously adapt their strategies as models and technologies advance.
