SlateStone Wealth, a boutique investment advisory firm in Jupiter, FL, has appointed Erin Gibbs as Chief Equity Strategist. With over 25 years of experience in quantitative equity research and portfolio strategy, Gibbs will lead the development of SlateStone’s quantitative equity platform, starting with a new small- and mid-cap (SMID) strategy.
Her focus will be on enhancing portfolio precision and disciplined execution while ensuring risk-aware returns. Gibbs will collaborate with Chief Investment Officer Daniel D. Payne, CFA, to integrate the firm’s fundamental and quantitative strategies and will join the Investment Policy Committee.
Previously, Gibbs served as Chief Investment Officer at Main Street Asset Management and held senior roles at S&P Investment Advisory Services, Liberty Ridge Capital, Citigroup, and Sanford Bernstein. She earned a B.B.A. in International Management from Pace University and completed graduate coursework in mathematics for finance at NYU’s Courant Institute. Gibbs is also a recognized contributor to national financial media on market behavior and investment strategy.
