Snap-on: $100 Million Acquisition Of Diesel Laptops Expands Heavy-Duty Diagnostics Capabilities

Snap-on announced that it has acquired Diesel Laptops for approximately $100 million in cash, expanding the company’s diagnostics and repair information capabilities in the heavy-duty truck and off-highway equipment markets.

The transaction closed on June 8, 2026. Diesel Laptops, headquartered in Irmo, South Carolina, specializes in diagnostics, repair information, and digital solutions for commercial trucks and off-highway vehicles. Its customers include heavy-duty repair shops, fleet operators, and businesses in industries such as mining, agriculture, and infrastructure.

The acquisition strengthens Snap-on’s position in growing heavy-duty and equipment markets and enhances the company’s library of proprietary, experience-based data. It also broadens Snap-on’s offerings designed to support the diagnosis and repair of increasingly sophisticated vehicles and equipment.

Diesel Laptops will operate within Snap-on’s Repair Systems & Information Group.
