Snout: Over $110 Million Raised To Expand Prevention First Pet Care Financing Nationwide

Snout, a pet healthcare financing platform that partners with veterinary clinics, said it has secured more than $110 million in total capital to broaden access to affordable preventive care across the U.S. The new capital includes $100 million in financing from Clear Haven Capital Management and a $10 million Series A round led by Footwork, with participation from existing investors Pear, Bread and Butter Ventures, Restive Ventures, and veterinary industry experts.

The company positions its offering as a prevention first alternative to traditional pet financing by pairing clinics with wellness plans that let pet owners pay monthly for routine services. Snout said its model is designed to reduce financial barriers to essential care while keeping clinic workflows simple, emphasizing that it eliminates credit checks and removes reimbursement processes that are common in other financing approaches.

Snout’s wellness plans are built around recommended preventive services intended to keep pets healthy and catch disease early. The company said plans typically include unlimited exams, vaccinations, bloodwork, flea and tick prevention, and other routine services delivered through participating veterinary practices. Snout said its monthly payments are interest free, and that the platform avoids age and breed discrimination as part of its effort to make preventive care available to a broader population of pets.

The company said the new capital will help accelerate expansion of its national network of veterinary clinic partners, increase operational support resources for veterinary teams, and enhance the pet owner experience with an emphasis on long term cost savings. Overmatch Capital advised Snout on the financing transaction.

Clear Haven Capital Management, which provided the $100 million financing component, said it focuses on flexible capital solutions for fintech companies from seed through late stage growth, with portfolio exposure across consumer and small business finance categories.
