Snowflake and Anthropic announced significant momentum in their strategic partnership at Snowflake Summit 2026, highlighting growing enterprise adoption of Anthropic’s Claude models through Snowflake Cortex AI. The companies said rising demand for governed, production-ready AI is driving customers to deploy AI directly on trusted enterprise data while maintaining security, governance, and compliance controls.
The announcement builds on the companies’ expanded partnership established in December 2025, which integrated Claude models into Snowflake Cortex AI across major cloud platforms and introduced a joint go-to-market strategy. Together, Snowflake and Anthropic are helping enterprises move beyond AI experimentation and into production deployments across critical business functions.
Through Snowflake Cortex AI, organizations can use Claude models directly with Snowflake-hosted data, enabling AI-powered applications and agents without moving sensitive information outside of Snowflake’s governed environment. Customers can choose from Anthropic’s Claude models based on workload requirements while benefiting from Snowflake’s security, observability, governance, and scalability capabilities.
The companies reported strong adoption across industries, with customers including Basis, Block, Carvana, Deloitte, eSentire, Indeed, and Notion using the combined technologies to support applications such as cybersecurity investigations, financial analysis, customer support, developer productivity, sales intelligence, life sciences research, and enterprise analytics.
Snowflake noted that Cortex Code, its AI-powered coding agent built for Snowflake environments, has become the fastest-growing product in the company’s history. The platform has attracted more than 7,100 users and is designed to help developers create production-ready data pipelines and applications from natural language prompts.
As part of their expanding collaboration, Snowflake and Anthropic are also advancing Snowflake Intelligence, an AI-powered personal agent that enables natural-language interactions with enterprise data. The offering leverages Claude models to help users analyze information, uncover insights, and take action within governed business environments.
The partnership extends to Cortex Agents, Snowflake’s framework for building enterprise AI agents that retrieve, reason over, and act on enterprise data. Claude supports a variety of use cases including customer service automation, operational workflows, and business analysis.
Snowflake is also one of six launch partners in Anthropic’s Claude Marketplace, which aims to simplify enterprise AI procurement and allow customers to apply existing Anthropic commitments toward Snowflake AI services.
In addition to product development efforts, the companies are collaborating on enterprise security initiatives, including Claude Code Security capabilities designed to help organizations identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities while maintaining human oversight.
Snowflake said the partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward AI systems that operate directly on governed enterprise data rather than isolated environments, enabling organizations to deploy AI responsibly while maintaining control over critical information assets.
