Social Assurance, a leading provider of marketing, communication, and compliance solutions for regulated industries, has acquired MindMixer, a pioneer in digital civic engagement platforms. The acquisition brings MindMixer back to its Nebraska roots and expands Social Assurance’s ecosystem of community engagement tools for schools, governments, and civic organizations. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2010, MindMixer was one of the early innovators in online community engagement, helping municipalities, school districts, advocacy groups, and civic organizations connect with citizens to crowdsource ideas, collect feedback, and foster participation. Over the past decade, the platform has powered discussions involving millions of citizens and thousands of organizations, influencing local policy and community planning efforts nationwide.

The acquisition supports Social Assurance’s growing expansion into the public sector. Its Class Intercom division currently serves as the leading social media engagement and storytelling platform for schools and educational districts nationwide. Together, Social Assurance and Class Intercom now serve more than 3,500 public and private organizations, helping institutions foster transparency and connection with their communities.

Following the acquisition, Social Assurance will integrate MindMixer’s technology into a unified, AI-driven engagement and communication platform. New capabilities are expected to roll out later this year, making it easier for organizations to collect feedback, share updates, measure community sentiment, and enhance trust through data-driven transparency.
