SocialNext, one of Canada’s leading marketing conference series and professional communities, has announced the acquisition of Marketing News Canada (MNC), a national media platform known for its podcasts, industry news, and storytelling. The acquisition brings together two major brands that share a mission to strengthen and celebrate Canada’s marketing industry nationwide.
Through this acquisition, SocialNext aims to create a unified national platform dedicated to learning, storytelling, and collaboration within the marketing community. Marketing News Canada will continue to produce its podcast and editorial content, now supported by SocialNext’s expanding event network, national membership program, and media partnerships.
The integration will connect thousands of marketing professionals each month through podcasts, newsletters, live events, and social channels. The partnership enhances storytelling capabilities, increases sponsor visibility, and deepens engagement across Canada’s diverse marketing ecosystem.
The announcement coincides with SocialNext’s plans for its most ambitious year yet, featuring its first bilingual conference in Montreal and the continued expansion of the SocialNext Marketing Alliance (SNMA), a membership network designed to support collaboration and professional growth throughout the year.
The company’s 2025–2026 calendar includes sold-out and upcoming events across the country:
- SocialPacific (Vancouver) – October 30, 2025 (sold out with 550 attendees)
- SocialNext: Nonprofit & Public Sector (Ottawa) – January 28–29, 2026
- SocialNext: Toronto 2026 – April 9, 2026

- SocialWest 10th Anniversary (Calgary) – May 28–29, 2026
- SocialEast (Halifax) – October 29–30, 2026
SocialNext continues to grow its presence as a hub for marketers across Canada through conferences, media programming, and the SNMA membership initiative, which provides ongoing opportunities for education, connection, and partnership development.
