Sola Security, a rapidly growing innovator in cybersecurity technology, has announced the close of its $35 million Series A funding round. The round was led by existing investor S32 and joined by M12, Microsoft’s venture arm, along with New Era Capital Partners. All prior investors—including renowned venture capitalist Mike Moritz, S Capital, and Glilot Capital Partners—also participated, reinforcing their confidence in Sola’s vision and early momentum. This latest round brings the company’s total funding to $65 million, marking a significant step forward in its mission to transform how security teams operate in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
Founded in 2024 by cybersecurity veterans Guy Flechter and Ron Peled, Sola Security was born out of a shared frustration with the slow pace of innovation in the cybersecurity industry. Flechter, previously CEO and co-founder of Cider Security, and Peled, former Global CISO of LivePerson, had spent years navigating the limitations of traditional security tools. They saw firsthand how fragmented systems, manual processes, and vendor lock-in were holding back security teams from responding quickly and effectively to threats. Their goal was to build something fundamentally different. This AI-powered assistant could act as a true partner to security professionals, helping them move faster without sacrificing precision or control.
Sola’s platform is designed to be more than just a tool—it’s a generative AI assistant that enables security teams to create custom solutions in minutes rather than days or weeks. By embedding deep security logic and contextual reasoning into its core architecture, Sola allows users to automate repetitive tasks, streamline workflows, and make more informed decisions. The platform supports a wide range of use cases, including identity and access management, cloud security, compliance, posture and configuration management, and more. In just six months since emerging from stealth, Sola has attracted over 2,000 users who have collectively built more than 1,000 custom security applications using its AI engine.
This rapid adoption reflects a broader shift in how organizations are approaching cybersecurity. As threats become more sophisticated and attack surfaces expand, the need for agile, intelligent, and customizable defenses has never been greater. Sola’s technology aligns with industry forecasts, including Gartner’s prediction that AI assistants will evolve into context-aware copilots for security teams. By reducing the burden of manual work and enhancing decision support, Sola is helping teams stay ahead of threats while freeing up time to focus on strategic priorities.
The new funding will be used to deepen Sola’s AI capabilities, expand its product offerings, and grow its team. The company plans to invest heavily in research and development, with a focus on building even more advanced features that allow users to tailor security solutions to their unique environments. It also intends to scale its go-to-market efforts, reaching more organizations that seek a smarter, faster way to manage cybersecurity.
Sola’s rise comes at a time when the cybersecurity industry is undergoing a significant transformation. Legacy tools are struggling to keep up with the pace of change, and security teams are increasingly looking for platforms that offer flexibility, speed, and intelligence. Sola’s approach—combining deep domain expertise with cutting-edge AI—provides a compelling alternative. It’s not just about automating tasks; it’s about empowering security professionals to build and adapt solutions on their own terms.
