Sola Security is an AI cybersecurity platform that empowers teams to rapidly create, orchestrate, and adapt security solutions across their environments. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Sola Security co-founder and CEO Guy Flechter to gain a deeper understanding of the company.
Guy Flechter’s Background

Could you tell me more about your background? Fletcher said:
“I’m Guy Flechter, CEO and Co-founder at Sola Security. I’ve been working in cyber security for over two decades in a variety of leadership roles, leading security at companies like LivePerson and AppsFlyer. I later co-founded Cider Security, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks, where I served as Chief AppSec Officer. My journey has been shaped by a passion for building innovative security solutions that push boundaries (and maybe piss people off just a little bit).”
Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Flechter shared:
“Sola Security was born out of a pain we saw time and time again: security teams either drowning in dozens of disconnected tools or stuck with overpriced, bloated ‘all-in-one’ platforms that try to do everything, and end up doing nothing well. We’d been in those shoes as former CISOs and security leaders, we knew there had to be a better way. We set out to create the solution we always wanted, one that is fast, intuitive, and adaptable, allowing organizations to prompt their own stack for the visibility they need and build or adjust security solutions without slow procurement cycles, unnecessary complexity or heavy engineering lift. We were lucky to have the inception of Sola during the AI revolution because it enabled us to build Sola to be AI first from day one, and turn it into the best possible version of our vision, AI built for security, by security.”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Flechter reflected:
“This has really been an incredible journey from day one. One of my favorite memories is from when I first brought the Idea to my co-founder and COO Ron Peled. Being the security heavy hitter that he is, he first tried to poke holes in the concept and explain why it could never work. But then he called me back, with excitement in his voice, and idea after idea on how we could make it even better. When I got HIM excited, I knew we were onto something great.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Flechter explained:
“Sola is an AI-powered, self-serve cybersecurity platform that gives teams the freedom to build what they actually need in an accessible and customizable manner, no matter the size of the organization. At the heart of our platform is Sola AI, enabling users to prompt their stacks, get insights into what tools they should build, or create their own app from scratch within minutes with a simple conversation. Sola users create, modify, and deploy their own security tools without extensive engineering resources. We also have the Sola App Gallery, a library of ready-made, customizable apps that can be deployed with a single click for anyone looking for an even faster start.
We recently expanded the platform with two major innovations. The first is Agentic Workflows, which introduce AI-driven orchestration to Sola apps. This makes it possible for teams to break down and automate investigations, connect actions across collaboration tools, and handle multi-step processes that previously demanded persistent human oversight or expensive solutions with a lot of heavy lifting.
The second innovation is Vibe Canvases, which is an interface builder that lets practitioners instantly create dashboards, reports, guides, games or even complete web apps that plug directly into their security data. Every canvas is data-first, automatically connected to the queries and information behind it, and security-native by design, built with an understanding of both how to construct the workspace and what data is required to answer critical security questions.
Challenges Faced
Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Flechter acknowledged:
“Absolutely. Self service/ PLG isn’t exactly a staple in cyber security, so we’re a bit of a purple elephant for some. Shifting the industry’s old-school mindset away from the siloed, one-size-fits-all approach to security has been our biggest challenge so far, but it’s one we were expecting and we welcome it with open arms. There’s a lot of skepticism around using AI for security, not to mention self-serve security tools, until people try Sola Security. Once they see how fast they can build what they need with Sola AI, along with real-time feedback loops, and an approach built on flexibility, it clicks. It also helps that there are other AI platforms out there for other industries like building apps or creating images. Even though it’s hard for people to imagine that for cyber, it’s easier for them now to understand what we’re talking about. 12 months ago some of it still sounded like science fiction to some.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Flechter noted:
“Since our launch, we’ve been focused on building Sola AI and training it specifically for building security tools. Since launching, AI has made incredible strides and so have we. We’re very fortunate to be building Sola during this time. We’re also focused on building Sola to address the problems that our community is struggling with most. We’re in constant feedback mode, gathering thoughts from customers, watching how they interact with the platform, and iterating and improving on a daily basis. The ability to quickly adapt and make meaningful changes based on user needs has been key to our evolution.
The introduction of Agentic Workflows and Vibe Canvases also represents a significant step forward. They expand what’s possible for security teams by making automation more adaptive and interfaces more intuitive.”
Significant Milestones
What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Flechter cited:
“Launching from stealth mode and announcing our $30 million Seed funding in March 2025 was a huge moment. After months of building behind the scenes, it was our chance to show it to the world. Six months later, we closed a $35 million Series A round, bringing our total funding to $65 million. Seeing the excitement and validation from both investors and customers really reinforced that we’re solving a real, widespread pain point in the industry. Since emerging from stealth, Sola users have built more than 2,200 security apps across use cases like identity, access management, cloud security, posture and configuration management, and compliance. Over 4,500 workspaces have been created to date, supported by more than 5,500 prompts and over 25,000 executed queries. It’s so incredibly rewarding to see users react so positively to the product and keep inviting their friends and colleagues to join.”
Customer Success Stories
Can you share any specific customer success stories? Flechter highlighted:
“One of our first Beta users tried to build a familiar, expensive existing tool using Sola. This was back when we were still in stealth, with a long way to go. He didn’t actually manage to build it in its entirety, but watching his journey and how the platform sparked his creative juices to try and build a simpler version for an existing solution he couldn’t afford was fascinating, we learned a lot from his feedback and thought process.”
Funding/Revenue
Are you able to discuss funding and/or revenue metrics? Flechter revealed:
“We’ve raised $65 million to day, including a $30 million Seed round led by S Capital and Mike Moritz, with participation from S32, Glilot Capital Partners, and some well-known angel investors, and a $35 million Series A round led by S32 and joined by M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund, New Era Capital Partners, and all existing investors. The new investment is helping us deepen our AI capabilities and scale to meet demand. Right now, we’re focusing on growth and onboarding new customers as we scale. Revenue will come later.”
Total Addressable Market
What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Flechter assessed:
“We’re targeting organizations of all sizes and industries that are seeking to take control of their security without the complexity or over-priced solutions that dominate the market. The opportunity is massive because every business, from small startups to large enterprises, is grappling with security challenges, and the market for flexible, customizable, and scalable solutions is only growing.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Flechter affirmed:
“We’re the only AI builder created specifically for cybersecurity, by the actual people who know the work and what’s needed to get it done. Most AI assistants today are bolted onto a single vendor’s product, limiting what they can see and how useful they can be. Sola was designed to work across tools from the start, allowing it to unify workflows, eliminate silos, and help teams build what they need quickly and with clarity. We’re also a bit of an anomaly in cybersecurity since we are currently free, and are committed to being affordable, forever. These two elements combined make are what sets us apart. Sola Security makes security easy, enabling the creation of solutions in minutes.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the future company goals? Flechter emphasized:
“We hope to be the go to for how ANY security product is built. I want investors to be asking cyber entrepreneurs “’Oh, could you just build this on Sola?”. Our goal is to make cybersecurity simple and intuitive, no matter the size of an organization or the security challenges it’s facing.”
Additional Thoughts
Any other topics you would like to discuss? Flechter concluded:
“We’re always excited to talk about how we’re pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity. We truly believe that the future of security isn’t more tools, it’s about giving teams the autonomy to build and manage their own solutions in a way that fits their unique needs. If you’re tired of the chaos and inefficiencies of traditional tools, Sola is ready to make cybersecurity work for you, not the other way around.”
