Solve Industrial Motion Buying B&B Manufacturing To Expand Domestic Production And Drive Train Capabilities

By Amit Chowdhry • Oct 20, 2025

Solve Industrial Motion Group, a leading provider of engineered bearings and power transmission solutions, announced the acquisition of B&B Manufacturing, a U.S.-based producer of power transmission and precision mechanical components. The acquisition strengthens Solve’s domestic manufacturing footprint and broadens its portfolio of drive train solutions for industrial customers across North America.

Founded in 1998 and headquartered in La Porte, Indiana, B&B Manufacturing has built a strong reputation over its 27-year history as North America’s largest synchronous drive pulley manufacturer. The company operates across five locations and specializes in synchronous drive solutions, producing components such as timing pulleys, synchronous belts, v-belt sheaves, taper bushings, idlers, and roller chain sprockets. B&B’s recent acquisitions of Diversified Specialties and JJC Associates further expand its product and manufacturing capabilities.

The acquisition of B&B enhances Solve’s ability to deliver faster lead times, greater made-to-order flexibility, and improved supply chain resilience through U.S.-based production. By combining B&B’s precision manufacturing capabilities with Solve’s established engineering and distribution network, the newly integrated company is positioned to serve a wider range of customers seeking custom and high-performance power transmission solutions.

This deal marks another major milestone in Solve’s growth strategy. Formed in 2020 to unite the PTI, IPTCI, and LMS brands, Solve has since completed six acquisitions, evolving into a comprehensive solutions provider for bearings and power transmission components. The company’s North American presence and engineering expertise have made it a trusted partner to industrial clients requiring both standard and custom drive train products.

Through this latest acquisition, Solve strengthens its mission to be a one-stop provider of mechanical motion solutions. The addition of B&B’s manufacturing base in Indiana complements Solve’s existing capabilities and positions the combined entity to meet growing demand for high-quality, domestically produced mechanical components.
