Somethings: $19.2 Million Series A Raised For Digital Youth Mental Health Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Feb 10, 2026

Somethings, a digital mental health platform focused on teens and young adults, has raised $19.2 million in Series A funding to expand access to peer support for youth ages 13 to 26. The round was led by Catalio Capital, with participation from existing investors General Catalyst and Tusk Ventures.

The company is positioning the financing as a response to rising youth mental health challenges and gaps in traditional care models, which it describes as reactive, clinical, and difficult to access early. Somethings’ model centers on connecting young people with Certified Peer Specialist mentors, defined as young adults age 21 and older with lived experience navigating mental health challenges who are professionally trained to provide support before issues escalate into crises.

Somethings said it delivers support through partnerships with schools, health plans, community organizations, state agencies, and Medicaid health plans across the United States. The company reported serving more than 11,000 teens to date through those partnerships, working with more than 200 schools and 250 community organizations. Somethings also cited outcomes including a 65% reduction in depression and a 60% reduction in suicidal ideation among participating youth.

The platform operates through a secure, HIPAA-compliant mobile app, offering on-demand access to peer mentors, including after school and late evenings, which the company characterized as periods when isolation and emotional distress can be highest. Somethings emphasized that its technology uses AI to support the peer-mentor workflow rather than interacting directly with youth, describing AI tools that enhance engagement, support safety screening, and enable rapid clinical escalation when risk is detected.

Somethings said the Series A proceeds will be used to expand partnerships with Medicaid programs, state governments, schools, and healthcare organizations, while continuing to invest in peer mentor training, clinical oversight, and outcomes. The company also plans product and platform enhancements to improve accessibility and engagement, and team growth to support long-term impact and sustainability.

KEY QUOTES

“This funding allows us to scale a model that is already working—meeting young people where they are, when they need support most. Peer connection is powerful. When paired with the right training, clinical oversight, and technology, it can fundamentally change how young people experience mental health support and do so at scale.”
