Sonos announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Tom Conrad as the new CEO, effective immediately. Mr. Conrad, who has been serving as Interim CEO since January, will also remain on the Board. During his interim tenure, Sonos made notable progress, including establishing higher standards for software and product quality, laying the groundwork for a robust new product pipeline, and introducing innovative software features for flagship products such as Sonos Ace and Arc Ultra.

Tom Conrad has been a member of the Sonos Board since 2017, bringing over thirty years of experience in consumer technology. Before that, he served as Chief Product Officer at Quibi, where he helped build the team and product from the ground up for this short-form streaming service. He also served as Vice President of Product at Snap Inc., where he directed numerous product innovations that established Snapchat as a leading platform for creativity and user engagement.

Additionally, Conrad was the CTO and EVP of Product at Pandora, one of the pioneers in the music streaming service industry. Over a decade, he helped develop Pandora’s personalized music experience, enabling it to reach tens of millions of users and transform the way people discover music. Early in his career, Tom worked at Apple, where he developed the initial user interface for the Macintosh.

He earned a B.S.E. in computer engineering from the University of Michigan.
