Sopra Steria announced that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Digital Product Simulation through its subsidiary CIMPA, a move designed to strengthen its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) offerings and deepen its expertise in digital engineering solutions.

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Paris, Digital Product Simulation specializes in digital engineering consulting services focused on design and simulation for industrial product development. The company provides consulting, methodology development, training, and support services to major clients across the aeronautics, defense, and nuclear industries. The firm employs more than 115 engineers and reported IFRS revenue of approximately €12 million in 2025, reflecting substantial growth.

The proposed acquisition aligns with Sopra Steria’s strategy of delivering comprehensive end-to-end solutions to strategic clients. By integrating Digital Product Simulation’s expertise, the company expects to enhance its capabilities in simulation technologies and strengthen its proficiency in the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform developed by Dassault Systèmes.

The transaction is also expected to increase Sopra Steria’s capacity in a rapidly growing market segment, particularly within sovereign industrial sectors where advanced digital engineering and simulation capabilities are becoming increasingly important. The acquisition would further reinforce CIMPA’s position as a specialized PLM and engineering services provider serving industrial customers across Europe.

The transaction remains subject to consultation with employee representative bodies, customary regulatory approvals, and other standard closing conditions. Completion is expected within the coming months.

Sopra Steria is one of Europe’s leading technology consulting and digital services companies, employing approximately 51,000 people across nearly 30 countries. The company provides consulting, digital transformation services, and technology solutions to large enterprises and public sector organizations. In 2025, Sopra Steria generated revenue of €5.6 billion.
