Southwest Automated Security announced the acquisition of Gates and Controls, combining two distributors focused on gate operators, access control systems, hardware, and video surveillance products. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The companies said the transaction represents a strategic expansion designed to strengthen their distribution capabilities and broaden support for professional installers across the United States.
According to the announcement, the combined organization plans to provide expanded product offerings, greater inventory availability, and enhanced technical support services. The companies also said customers are expected to benefit from broader combined inventory resources, shorter lead times, and expanded expertise across access control and security solutions.
Southwest Automated Security said the integration will continue to be guided by its HEART principles, which include honesty, excellence, accountability, respect, and teamwork.
Leadership from both companies stated that the acquisition is expected to strengthen their position within the industry while creating additional opportunities for employees, suppliers, and customers.
