S&P Global has appointed Matt Calderone as Chief Financial Officer of its Mobility business, tapping the outgoing CFO of Booz Allen Hamilton to lead finance for the unit as it prepares to become a standalone public company. Calderone is expected to join S&P Global by March 1, 2026, reporting to Bill Eager, President of S&P Global Mobility and CEO designate of the future standalone business.
The move comes as S&P Global continues building the executive leadership team for Mobility ahead of a planned separation. S&P Global has said it expects to complete the separation within 12 to 18 months from the date of the separation announcement, subject to customary legal and regulatory requirements and approvals, including final approval by the S&P Global Board of Directors and the Form 10 registration statement being declared effective by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
As CFO, Calderone will oversee all aspects of Mobility’s finance function for the standalone company, with responsibilities spanning financial strategy, planning, reporting, and readiness work associated with operating independently in public markets.
Calderone brings more than two decades of experience from Booz Allen, where he served as CFO and led financial strategy and execution aimed at long-term growth and shareholder value. S&P Global said his remit at Booz Allen included strategic finance, forecasting and planning, investor relations, acquisitions and corporate ventures, capital structure and deployment, and accounting.
During his 22-year tenure at Booz Allen, Calderone also served as chief strategy officer and developed VoLT, a growth strategy focused on velocity, leadership, and technology. He built and led the firm’s corporate development team, guiding more than $1.5 billion in M&A transactions, equity investments, divestitures, and joint ventures. Earlier in his career, he worked on Booz Allen’s Vision 2020 growth strategy and led the company’s restructuring in 2013, according to S&P Global.
S&P Global said Calderone previously led a 500-person team supporting customers across the Intelligence Community and worked in Booz Allen’s global commercial business. He also spent time at the Boston Consulting Group. Calderone holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management.
Mobility’s leadership roster to date includes Bill Eager as Chief Executive Officer, Larissa Cerqueira as Chief People Officer, Scott Fredericks as President of CARFAX, Joe Lafeir as President of Mobility Business Solutions, Joedy Lenz as Chief Information Officer, Tasha Matharu as Chief Legal Officer, and Calderone as Chief Financial Officer.
