- Wyvern recently announced it raised $4.5 million in funding. These are the details.
Wyvern — a Canada-based company that is working on satellite imaging services — announced recently that it raised $4.5 million in funding. The funding was across a $2.25 million seed round led by MaC Venture Capital and $2.25 million in combined pre-seed and government funding, according to TechCrunch.
Wyvern is working on hyperspectral imaging — which captures light across many wavelengths, including ones that are not visible. Plus the company also joined the startup accelerator program Y Combinator as part of the Winter 2022 cohort.
KEY QUOTE:
“Launch is the next big thing we’re looking forward to. This is going to be our first set of imagery products. This is the first step that’s going to take us to getting some super high-resolution hyperspectral. We won’t see the super high-resolution stuff for another couple of years yet, but when it gets here, it’s going to be pretty great and game-changing.”
