According to a report by Business Insider, SpaceX – the private aerospace company founded by Elon Musk – has raised a total of $1.5 billion in funding last year. This includes a $337 million round raised last month as discovered in a regulatory filing.
In February, SpaceX had raised $850 million at a valuation of $74 billion. That was followed by another $314 million in April. With all of this funding, SpaceX plans to launch Starship into orbit this year.
Plus the company has been deploying a satellite Internet service called Starlink. Back in June, Musk said that Starlink could spin-off as a separate public company in the future.
In October, SpaceX had become the second most valuable private company at a $100 billion valuation.
