Pulse 2.0 interviewed Sparkling Bins CEO John Conway to learn more.
John Conway’s Background

Could you tell me more about your background? Conway said:
“I have over 25 years of experience in the corporate sector, with the last decade spent in executive leadership for a Fortune 100 company specializing in payroll and human resources software. Over the years, I’ve led large service and operation teams through major technology transformations, process automation initiatives, and product modernization efforts that improved efficiency and enhanced the employer experience.”
Formation Of The Company
How did the idea for the company come together? Conway shared:
“After leaving corporate America, I found myself at a crossroads. I had to decide whether I wanted to continue working in an environment where I had little control over my future or take the leap into something I’d always dreamed of, owning my own business and being my own boss. I started exploring different opportunities and was fortunate to discover a unique niche: cleaning and sanitizing residential and commercial trash bins and dumpsters. It’s a service that’s often overlooked but incredibly valuable for communities and businesses alike. The idea combined my desire for independence with a business model that provides a practical, environmentally friendly solution and that’s how it all came together.”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Conway reflected:
“My favorite memory so far has been helping new entrepreneurs start their own businesses through our partnership with Key Business Solutions. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing people take that leap into entrepreneurship, especially when we can make the process easier and more accessible for them. To date, we’ve helped launch more than 1,000 new businesses across 47 states. Knowing that our work has empowered so many individuals to build something of their own is truly one of the most fulfilling parts of what I do.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Conway explained:
“Our company offers patented cleaning systems along with a complete turnkey business solution designed to help entrepreneurs launch and operate their own trash bin cleaning business with ease. In addition to our proprietary equipment, we provide everything needed to get started, including a custom CRM platform, route management software, website development, branding, and logo creation. We’ve built a system that not only delivers exceptional cleaning performance but also supports business owners with the tools and technology to scale efficiently.”
Challenges Faced
Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Conway acknowledged:
“One of the main challenges we’ve faced recently has been related to financing. We assist our clients in securing funding for their equipment, and with interest rates being higher than in previous years, it’s become more difficult for some entrepreneurs to obtain the financing they need to get started. Despite that, we’ve worked closely with our financing partners to find creative solutions, helping clients navigate the process, improve their credit readiness, and explore flexible options so they can still move forward with confidence.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Conway noted:
“Since launching, our technology has evolved significantly to support growth and improve efficiency across every part of our operation. We’ve implemented a centralized database that allows us to track sales leads, manage inventory, monitor service calls, and oversee build progress in real time.”
“In addition, we’ve integrated AI tools to help streamline our processes from automating routine tasks to enhancing communication and decision-making. These advancements have not only improved our internal operations but also allowed us to deliver faster, more reliable service to our clients.”
Significant Milestones
What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Conway cited:
“Our company has reached several major milestones since its founding. We’re proud to have obtained nine patents, which reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in design.”
“We’ve also grown to become the world’s largest manufacturer of cleaning systems for solid waste, recycling, and compost containers. Beyond that, one of the accomplishments we’re most proud of is helping more than 1,000 entrepreneurs launch their own businesses across 47 states. Each of these milestones represents not only our success as a company but also the success and growth of our entire network.”
Customer Success Stories
Can you share any specific customer success stories? Conway highlighted:
“We’re fortunate to have many inspiring customer success stories, but one that stands out is CMax Services out of Southern California. They started with our system and have since grown to operate 15 of our cleaning trucks. Through their hard work and the efficiency of our equipment, they’ve been able to secure multiple city and municipal contracts, establishing themselves as a major provider in their region. Their success is a great example of how our business model and technology can empower entrepreneurs to scale quickly and make a real impact in their communities.”
Funding/Revenue
Are you able to discuss funding and/or revenue metrics? Conway revealed:
“While we don’t disclose specific revenue figures, I can share that our sales have increased by approximately 25% year over year. This steady growth reflects the rising demand for our patented cleaning systems and turnkey business solutions, as well as the continued success of our expanding network of entrepreneurs across the country.”
Total Addressable Market (TAM)
What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Conway assessed:
“The market we’re pursuing is largely untapped. Across the U.S., there are millions upon millions of residential and commercial trash bins being serviced each week — yet there are fewer than 2,000 companies currently operating in this space. That gap represents an enormous opportunity for growth. As awareness of hygiene, environmental sustainability, and community cleanliness continues to rise, we see tremendous potential for expansion and innovation within this emerging industry.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Conway affirmed:
“What truly sets us apart from our competition is our depth of experience and firsthand industry knowledge. We’ve been in business longer than anyone else in this sector, and we’re the only manufacturer that also operates a trash bin cleaning company ourselves. That gives us a unique perspective and the practical expertise to help new entrepreneurs successfully scale their businesses.”
“In addition, we hold nine patents on our trash bin cleaning systems and have grown to become the world’s largest manufacturer in this niche. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and customer success has established us as the trusted leader in the industry.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future goals? Conway concluded:
“Our future goals focus on continued innovation and global growth. We’re committed to developing the most efficient and advanced cleaning systems in the industry, leveraging technology and design improvements to stay ahead of evolving market needs.”
“In addition, we’re focused on expanding our international footprint — bringing our patented systems and turnkey business solutions to new markets around the world. Our goal is to set the global standard for waste container cleaning while empowering more entrepreneurs to succeed in this growing industry.”
