SpartanX announced the close of a seed funding round to accelerate growth of its AI-native offensive security platform, alongside the establishment of its global headquarters in Boston and the appointment of a new president and chief operating officer. The round was led by Venture Guides, with participation from additional angel and corporate investors.
The firm focuses on early-stage investments in security, AI, cloud infrastructure, and data companies, and brings an operator-led model with active involvement in portfolio companies.
SpartanX is developing a fully autonomous, full-stack red teaming platform powered by more than 500 AI agents that operate across multiple attack surfaces, including web applications, APIs, networks, cloud infrastructure, identity systems, and AI environments. The platform is designed to identify vulnerabilities, validate exploits, and generate remediation actions without human intervention.
Beyond detection, the system incorporates specialized agents that handle triage, automated code-level fixes, and compliance mapping across standards such as SOC2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001, enabling continuous security testing and streamlined compliance workflows.
As part of its expansion, the company has established its global headquarters in Boston, positioning itself within a major cybersecurity and enterprise technology hub. The move is expected to support hiring and scaling efforts as the company transitions from early access to broader market deployment.
SpartanX has also appointed Erik Hardy as president and chief operating officer. Hardy brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software and SaaS, and will lead the company’s go-to-market functions, including sales, marketing, customer success, and support.
The funding and leadership expansion position SpartanX to scale its platform and define a new category in autonomous AI-driven cybersecurity, as organizations seek more efficient and continuous approaches to identifying and mitigating threats.
