San Francisco-based video collaboration platform SpatialChat has acquired Teemyco, a European virtual collaboration company, as it looks to accelerate the development of its AI-powered Cloud HQ and expand its footprint in the distributed work market.

Teemyco has more than 5 years of operating history, supporting thousands of teams across 150+ countries. The company has raised more than $5 million in venture funding and established itself as an early innovator in presence-driven digital collaboration.

The deal follows a breakout year for SpatialChat, which reported 10× year-over-year growth amid rising adoption of remote, hybrid, and fully distributed Cloud HQ operating models. By combining Teemyco’s product maturity and long-term user insights with SpatialChat’s AI agent integrations, the company aims to define the next generation of digital work infrastructure.

The combined platform is designed to unify collaboration, organizational knowledge, automation, and intelligence into a single operating layer for distributed teams. SpatialChat’s Cloud HQ functions as a synchronized home base that integrates presence, collaboration, and AI-driven intelligence in one environment.

Rather than relying on fragmented tools and siloed information, the Cloud HQ embeds AI agents directly into the workspace. Employees are supported by built-in AI assistants that can answer questions, surface insights, generate follow-ups, and automate operational tasks. Organizational AI agents work across integrated systems to track progress, synchronize decisions, automate reporting, and trigger workflows, forming what the company describes as a unified intelligence layer to reduce friction and accelerate execution.

Core capabilities of the platform include real-time team presence, spatial collaboration modeled after physical office dynamics, contextual Map View awareness, enterprise messaging, deep system integrations, and AI-powered productivity insights. Teemyco’s technology and accumulated user learnings are expected to strengthen these features and accelerate development across knowledge intelligence, global collaboration, and cross-time-zone productivity.

SpatialChat said the result will be a living knowledge system in which information is continuously captured, searchable, and actionable. The company believes this approach will help new hires onboard more quickly, keep teams aligned, and transform institutional knowledge from static documentation into an integrated part of daily operations.

With more than 6 million users across 200-plus countries, SpatialChat serves virtual events, webinars, online education, hyflex classrooms, virtual offices, and global conferences. The acquisition marks a strategic step in its evolution from a communication platform into what it positions as an intelligent operating system for modern organizations.

KEY QUOTES:

“The future of work is not just remote, it is intelligent. Teams do not need more disconnected tools. They need a system that understands their knowledge and helps them execute faster. By embedding AI agents directly into the Cloud HQ, SpatialChat is transforming the workplace into an intelligence layer that can search, reason, and act alongside teams.”

Riddhik, CEO of SpatialChat

“We founded Teemyco to help distributed teams feel connected through presence, culture, and a sense of belonging. SpatialChat expands that vision into something much larger.
