Sprints Closes €725 Million Fund V At Hard Cap

Sprints has announced the final close of Sprints V at its €725 million hard cap, with the growth-stage technology fund closing oversubscribed.

The new fund is approximately 40% larger than Sprints IV and continues the investment strategy the firm has followed since its founding in 2016. Sprints focuses on backing technology companies with strong customer engagement and partnering with founders over the long term as their businesses scale.

Sprints V will target category-defining technology businesses at the growth stage. The firm plans to maintain a concentrated portfolio of approximately eight to 10 companies, allowing its investment team to devote significant time and resources to each portfolio company.

The strategy emphasizes businesses that Sprints believes can compound growth over long periods rather than pursuing a large number of investments. The firm said it intends to continue supporting founders as they build enduring businesses and expand internationally.

Sprints’ existing portfolio includes European technology companies such as Vinted, Revolut, Chrono24, Flightradar24, and Checkout.com.

The firm also highlighted continued support from its limited partners, noting that many investors participating in Sprints V have backed the firm since its earlier funds. New institutional investors are also joining the Sprints LP base through the latest vehicle.
