Sprocket Security has appointed veteran cybersecurity executive Eric Sheridan as chief technology officer, tapping a longtime security and software engineering leader to guide the company’s technology roadmap as it scales its proactive security platform.
In the role, Sheridan will lead technology vision and execution across engineering and product strategy, with a mandate to accelerate innovation and advance Sprocket Security’s focus on helping organizations anticipate and prevent attacks before they occur. The company said Sheridan brings decades of experience building forward-looking security platforms, along with a portfolio of patents that reflect a record of translating technical research into practical security capabilities.
Sprocket Security said Sheridan will oversee the development of next-generation proactive cybersecurity capabilities, including continued advancement of the company’s core platform, cross-team innovation, and initiatives aimed at keeping pace with emerging security challenges.
The appointment comes as Sprocket Security continues positioning its offensive security offering as an always-on alternative to traditional point-in-time penetration tests.
