SS&C Technologies Holdings has completed its acquisition of Curo Fund Services, a major South African provider of fund administration solutions, marking a meaningful step in the company’s international growth strategy. The transaction, announced from Windsor, Connecticut, brings Curo into SS&C’s Global Investor and Distribution Solutions group led by Nick Wright. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Curo administers more than R3 trillion in assets for Sanlam, Old Mutual, and a broad mix of third-party institutional clients. With about 300 employees now joining SS&C in Cape Town, the integration is expected to deepen SS&C’s presence across South Africa while expanding the company’s reach throughout the African continent. The merger will provide South African clients with SS&C’s global operational expertise, data capabilities, and automation technologies, helping to strengthen market competitiveness and support long-term growth.
Curo already uses several of SS&C’s fund accounting and asset servicing systems, and the companies emphasized that existing client administration arrangements will remain unchanged. SS&C highlighted that its global scale, technology stack, and operational resources will contribute to enhanced solutions and improved service delivery for both legacy Curo clients and the broader regional market. The transition process is being managed with an emphasis on continuity and client experience.
Curo’s portfolio of fund accounting, investor administration, and regulatory reporting services positions the business to continue its expansion while leveraging the extended capabilities of SS&C’s international platform. Both companies described the combination as a strategic opportunity to deliver more integrated and data-driven services to insurers, asset managers, and institutional investors throughout South Africa and beyond.
